A bit about me

I’m Jamie Squire- a singer and guitarist with twenty years of experience performing at weddings and events across the UK.

Before music became my full-time focus, I spent several years in London as the General Manager of The Wells Tavern, a well-known and well-loved destination pub/restaurant in Hampstead. It’s was, and remains to this day, the kind of place where discretion matters as much as the food and the wine. Why am I telling you this? Well, a lot of well-known faces have come through the door over the years, and part of my job was simply making sure everyone felt looked after, without any fuss and with the utmost discretion. I am comfortable in any room, with any guest list and I understand how to make any event run smoothly so that you don’t have to think about it. That includes the music at your wedding.

These days, this is what I do. I am a vocalist, acoustic guitarist and swing and soul performer. I like to put my own stamp on the songs I play rather than copying them note for note, taking into account the mood of the room and the vibe of the audience. Whether that is an intimate acoustic set, a bit of Buble-esque or classic Rat Pack swing, soulful backing-track numbers or musical theatre classics- I’ll work with you to find the right sound for your day. I am now based in West Yorkshire and happy to travel.
